It publishes high-quality, original research and theological reflections on the development and transformation of local Christian communities and the systems that support them in their participation in God&#8217;s mission in the world. The transition to Diamond Open Access has been transformative and has enabled the journal to make research freely accessible worldwide.<\/p>\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Why collaborate with Openjournals?<\/h3>\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The editorial team shared their motivation for making the switch: <em>\u201cWe were stuck with a very traditional publisher who did not promote our print magazine in any way. Diamond Open Access was a real game changer for us and quickly brought us to the forefront of the 21st-century publishing world.\u201d<\/em><\/p>\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The collaboration with Openjournals has proven particularly valuable because of its innovative model: <em>\u201cThe collaboration between Openjournals and Radboud UP allows us to publish free of charge, as long as we voluntarily provide editorial and peer-review services.\u201d<\/em><\/p>\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">The importance of Open Science and Open Access<\/h3>\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The team emphasizes the crucial role of Open Access in their field:<em> \u201cAs an international journal, it is essential that our research is accessible in regions where subscription prices are a barrier. Open Access completely removes this barrier.\u201d<\/em><\/p>\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">They also point out the benefits for inclusivity: <em>\u201cIt ensures that research is accessible to anyone with a computer and an internet connection, regardless of their financial means.\u201d<\/em><\/p>\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Experiences with the Openjournals platform<\/h3>\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The editorial team describes their experience with the Openjournals platform as positive. One feature they find particularly useful is the ease with which website content can be edited: <em>\u201cThis saves us a lot of back-and-forth with publishers or web developers.\u201d<\/em><\/p>\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Would you like to learn more about Ecclesial Futures?
