Did you know the Openjournals platform hosts a variety of philosophy journals? From contemplations on aesthetics to reflections on futurism, a wide range of philosophical topics is represented. The journals are published by our partner university presses, in collaboration with scholarly societies.

Thanks to the Diamond Open Access publication model, all of these journals are available for free. This ensures that researchers and thinkers in the field of philosophy have access to the latest papers in their area of study.

A couple of our journals:

  • Aesthetic Investigations – focused on contemporary debates in philosophical esthetics from a variety of perspectives, published on behalf of the Dutch Association of Aesthetics, edited by Sue Spaid and Nathan Wildman, in collaboration with Open Press Tilburg University
  • Passion – a biannually published journal on the philosophical study of emotions, published by the European Philosophical Society for the Study of Emotions (EPSSE), edited by Alfred Archer and Heidi Maibom, in collaboration with Open Press Tilburg University
  • Technophany – philosophical and historical study of technology and technoscience with an emphasis on provocative and original reflections that challenge traditional academia, supported by the Research Network for Philosophy and Technology edited by Pieter Lemmens and Joel White, in collaboration with Radboud University Press
