Epilepsy, Periodical for Professionals is the quarterly magazine of the Dutch League Against Epilepsy, the Dutch branch of the International League Against Epilepsy. The magazine has a long history: it was first published in 1972 as Epilepsy Bulletin and became the Dutch Journal of Epileptology in 1999. After the departure of editor-in-chief Professor Meinardi and secretary Ms. Harting in 2002, a new formula was sought to inform League members about research, developments, and other aspects of epilepsy care. Since 2003, the magazine has been published in its current form, with an emphasis on accessible information for both medical and paramedical professionals, including attention to the social aspects of epilepsy. The magazine has a minimum of sixteen pages, is published online every quarter, and includes a special December issue each year.
The magazine has not been published by Openjournals since 2024. However, the archives are still accessible free of charge.
