On Thursday, May 22, the third Openjournals User’s Day was held in Amsterdam. Editors and collaborators of 15 journals and yearbooks met at the Huygens Institute, for an afternoon of updates on Openjournals and new features for editing an academic journal. There was information on the importance of good metadata, website design and the use of social media. In addition, there was a vivid exchange of ideas, tips and working methods among the editors. Openjournals is a publishing platform, but the supporting team would also like to bring journals together, to learn from each other and explore possible collaborations. Currently more than 40 scholarly journals are hosted on Openjournals.nl and together they are a valuable collection of Dutch diamond open access journals in many academic disciplines. Community-led and according to open science principles.
