Local knowledge, permanently accessible

Local and regional historiography is an indispensable source of knowledge. At Openjournals, we are proud to support three regional yearbooks that are committed to preserving and disseminating these valuable insights:

Studies over de Sociaaleconomische Geschiedenis van Limburg

Noordbrabants Historisch Jaarboek

Publications de la Société Historique et Archéologique dans le Limbourg

Thanks to the Openjournals infrastructure and the Diamond Open Access model, these yearbooks are now easily accessible and discoverable online for everyone. Whereas they used to be available only in print or difficult to find online, the publications are now search engine friendly, included in indexing services, and provided with a DOI.

The result is that the scientific knowledge contained in these yearbooks reaches a wider audience. Researchers, historians, and interested readers worldwide can find and consult the contributions, while authors benefit from a larger audience and greater visibility for their work.

In this way, Openjournals ensures that local and regional history is not only preserved, but also truly shared.
