Information on Openjournals

Openjournals is a service provider, not a publisher. We provide publishing services to organizations that want to publish their own scholarly journals. We configure a website for them and train editors in using the OJS software to edit and publish their journals. And we help where needed and give advice. In this way, academics maintain full control over the quality of published articles. We work with diamond open access journals that employ a peer-review process.

Openjournals currently hosts 37 journals.
These journals are published by different types of organizations:

  • 43% of the journals are published by a university publisher, namely Radboud University Press or Open Press Tilburg University.
  • 23% of the journals are published by scientific associations.
  • 20% of the journals are published by an institute or research center.
  • The remaining journals are published by foundations or independent editorial boards.
